Kermanshah A dermatologist and hair specialist, referring to the increase in the use of detergents on the days of house shaking, recommended: People must observe safety tips when using these substances.
Dr. Mehrdad Malek, in an interview with ISNA, said: Detergents, especially bleaches and all kinds of scrubs, are strong chemicals whose long-term contact with the skin of the hands can have destructive effects.
He added: “In the first place, it is recommended that people use standard detergents and strictly avoid combining these substances with each other, because by combining them, the detergents are practically out of the standard state and their destructive effects increase.”
Malik added: “To protect the hands, it is recommended that people use gloves when using detergent.” Gloves should not be used for a long time, as it makes the skin of the hand sensitive and it is recommended to remove the gloves every 20 minutes to half an hour and use them again after a while.
He added that hats should also be used to protect the scalp and hair, as house dust and detergent vapor can eventually dry out the scalp and cause eczema.
The dermatologist added: “In order to protect the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract, it is also recommended that people use masks.”
He warned against the use of detergents, especially bleach and scrubs, in closed environments such as bathrooms, adding: “Before using these substances in such environments, you should use a way to ventilate and be sure to use a mask.” Also, these materials should not be used while the environment is steamy.
Malik added: “Failure to follow these tips will cause dry skin and provide the conditions for eczema, so it is recommended that people, along with gloves, masks and hats, massage their hands and face with a variety of emollients after finishing the work.” Give.
